An immersive digital experience for global flagship store

Founded in Edinburgh in 1856, the famous Hunter wellington boot brand has expanded to become an international fashion brand.

The Challenge

Hunter wanted an immersive digital experience to represent the brand’s exciting new vision and future.

What we did

Our creative team developed an engaging video content strategy to convey the essence of the Hunter brand. We wanted to generate a series of immersive customer experiences, focusing on a striking LED video screen nearly three floors high that dominated the entrance and stairwell areas.

Existing Hunter footage – including ad campaigns, fashion shows, and brand films – was re-cut and graphically enhanced to suit the huge portrait screen. Playlists also included motion graphics content which was changed seasonally.

To encourage customers to connect with the brand and its intrinsic link to wet weather, the atmosphere in-store was periodically punctuated by dramatic, specially curated ‘wet weather events’.

Customers saw an iconic Hunter location – an epic country landscape lashed with rain, and heard bespoke sound design. The experience was driven by live feeds, with our tech automatically selecting a location where it was currently raining, so the outdoor experience was replicated digitally and immersively in-store.

To further support the brand story and immersive experience, Kaleidovision’s high-end music consultancy, Music Concierge, developed innovative soundscapes for selected areas of the store, plus a fresh and relevant music concept which captured the quirky, lively Hunter attitude.
