Evoking Californian vibes for innovative global gourmet coffee and tea brand in Asia

Since its foundation in Los Angeles in 1963, ‘The Bean’ has grown into one of the largest, privately-owned, family-run coffee and tea retailers in the world.

The Challenge

To appeal to the growing café culture in Singapore, the brand wanted to inject its laid-back, feel-good personality into a music concept and create an effortlessly cool ambience with real standout.

What we did

Kaleidovision set out to immerse customers in the brand’s optimistic Californian outlook. Our hip bar-loving team delved deep into the Bean’s DNA and crafted an authentic West Coast-inspired music selection that reflected its huge zest for life. To tailor to the Singaporean audience, we blended local Asian influences, as well as adding European sounds for an international flavour.

The new music concept gave the store a cooler, more happening feel, and changed customer perception of the brand. The Bean has decided to roll out the concept to all their locations in Singapore, enhancing the customer experience across their network.
